Meet Maria and Rebekka, they are a Pop/Electro/DJ duo from Bergen, Norway. They have music OUT SOON, and KOIQOUISE got the opportunity to ask them a few questions about their music, their style, and past fashion favorites!
Check Out the Interview Below…
Listen to Their Soundcloud:
KQ: Hello Seaweed Girls! I would like to welcome you to the site as the first interview to be posted! It’s an honor to have you girls here! The first question is what are your names?
SWG: Thank you very much! We are very excited to be the first interview posted. We are Rebekka and Maria!
KQ: I love how the both of you are styled in all of your pictures! Do you guys have a stylist or is your look completely your picks?
SWG: Happy to hear that you like our photos. So far we have been styling ourselves.
KQ: Of all the items that have passed in and out of your closets, what has been your favorite accessory or item of clothing throughout your life?
SWG: (Maria) I actually thought about this the other day! My favorite accessory is my round RayBan sunglasses. I’ve had them for four years and they are still my go to sunnies!
(Rebekka): I think this is a very hard question. I’ve had so many favorite pieces through my life and my preference has changed a lot. The first thing that comes to mind is my Zero Gravity holographic phone case that I have been using almost every day I got my iPhone.
KQ: The Seaweed Girls are a music group, but our first taste of your music has yet to be released. When should we expect to hear you both, and where can we hear it when it does come out?
SWG: We are writing a lot and are currently looking for the perfect producer. When we release you will be able to hear it at all the major platforms and hopefully on your local radio station. We are however releasing a mix tape soon that you will be able to hear at our SoundCloud account. The mix tape will give you a little taste of what we play when we DJ.
KQ: So you guys are a Pop/Electro/DJ Duo, I’m curious if you’ve ever heard of names like Tigerlily or Alison Wonderland from the same genres, and is your music anything comparable?
SWG: We have heard of them and it might be comparable in some aspects. We could have a chat about it again once our music has been released.
KQ: Last, but not least, what do you want to tell the readers at KOIQOUISE?
SWG: Drink lots of Red Bull, always spread good vibes and send us a pastel photo on Snapchat; SWrebekka and SWmaria
All the best,
Rebekka and Maria / Seaweed
